Reflection:
In my 5 attempts, only one person took a dollar. Giving away a dollar to strangers was pretty challenging.
Hello Parker. I applaud you for taking the challenge of trying to hand random people free money. This was something I wasn’t able to bring myself to do. I think the way you handled this was the best way possible, trying to make it quick and less awkward as possible. The results you got are pretty surprising though. I would have thought at least two people would take a free dollar.

ReplyDeleteKudos for rising to the challenge and attempting the exercise but like anything in life, you need a plan, a story, a message to make it successful. The type of questions that we were asked to answer before attempting this exercise were a hint and practice for putting a simple plan together. This is one of the key lessons about entrepreneurship; come up with an idea and then everything else is studying the idea and putting a great plan together for executing it. Once again, you took up the challenge and I have a feeling many didn't so for that you must be commended. Hey, Parker. I see that you tried the straightforward approach, as well as many others, to give away a dollar. I think you would have been more successful if you asked them a series of questions and say that you would offer them a dollar then people would be mroe willing to accept it. Nowadays people don't like to accept free money from others, especially strangers, because there might be some kind of catch to it that they don't know about and don't want to get into any trouble. ReplyDeleteI think it was very considerate of the people to not take the dollars. In another attempt of this, almost everyone took the dollars without question and just went on their way like nothing happened. The fact that these strangers were nice enough to let you keep your money is incredible. I would give you a link to my blog but I didn’t do this assignment.
